career & recruiting services

Work in psychedelics is exciting, but often a bit nebulous. Titles aren’t standardized, paths aren’t linear, and experience doesn’t always translate cleanly from adjacent fields. I work with people and organizations who want to make grounded decisions in a space where judgment matters

psychedelic career strategy sessions

If you’re trying to break in, pivot, or stop circling the same questions, this is a focused session to get oriented and leave with a direction you can actually act on.People usually book when:
- they want clarity on where they fit and what to stop chasing
- they’re weighing several paths and need a few grounded options
- they’re coming from adjacent fields and want to explore translating experience without forcing it
- they want help identifying specific organizations, roles, and next steps that match their strengths and temperament
In the session, we’ll:
- clarify a direction that fits your skills, values, and capacity
- discuss realistic next steps for the next 30–60 days
- narrow your focus to a short list of roles, org types, or paths worth pursuing
- talk through outreach in a field built on relationships and trust

Organizational Consulting - Hiring & Staffing

Hiring in psychedelics necessarily goes beyond credentials.
This focused advisory session is for organizations navigating hiring, staffing, or team design decisions. The goal is to clarify what role is actually needed, assess scope and timing, and identify realistic options for moving forward.
We can look at:
- what role you think you need vs. what you may actually need
- scope and seniority
- whether hiring now makes sense, or what could change first
- how to approach about sourcing for roles that require trust and discernment
- how to refine the job description
After the call, you’ll receive a brief written summary outlining role clarity, risks to watch for, and recommended next steps.60 minutes | $249

psychedelic recruiting & headhunting

When it’s a fit, I also support organizations with recruiting and targeted sourcing - particularly for roles where relationship-based outreach matters and public posting tends to attract poor matches. If you’re looking for support beyond an advisory call, email me with:
- role title and location (or remote)
- employee vs. contractor
- a short description of what “great” looks like in this role

orientation & approach

My work in retreat and equine settings is relational, trauma-informed, and somatic. I approach this work with attention to pacing, consent, nervous system regulation, and the relational dynamics between people, horses, and the broader environment.

about

Allison is the founder of Work in Psychedelics, a growing ecosystem that connects people, organizations, and opportunities across the psychedelic field. Her work blends ecosystem knowledge, talent strategy, and direct experience in facilitation, integration, and community support. Her approach is shaped by her lived experience moving through long-term recovery from trauma, chronic pain from endometriosis, and substance abuse. She holds licenses in Natural Medicine Facilitation and Massage Therapy, a certification as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, and a BA in Psychology with a minor in Somatics. This gives her a rare combination of operational clarity, somatic depth, and real-world understanding of what it takes to build safe, ethical, human-centered psychedelic spaces. Before founding Work in Psychedelics, Allison built an alumni program from the ground up for a behavioral health organization, worked on facilitation and integration teams, and contributed to staff development for retreats, somatic practices, and equine-assisted programs. She continues to support interdisciplinary retreat teams and provides equine-assisted coaching and integration work in both clinical and community settings.Work in Psychedelics began as a way to make the field easier to navigate. It now supports individuals clarifying their next step, teams building capacity, and organizations hiring for roles that require judgment, care, and competence.
