Her understanding is elevated through lived experience through trauma, chronic pain, and addiction recovery.
What are Somatic practices?
Somatic practices are simply practices of self-inquiry that begin with attending to the body and bodily signals. In contrast to talk-centered interventions seen in traditional therapy settings, somatic practices utilize bottom-up processing. While we draw from a holistic toolkit, you can expect practices that help you:
- develop awareness and balance
- establish and build confidence and resilience
- access bodily wisdom for healing purposes
- integrate mind, body, and spirit
- support self-empowerment and self-acceptance
Why practice somatics?
Bringing awareness to the body moves us closer to our own inherent wholeness. Somatic practices assist us in integrating all parts of ourselves.
